ABOUT US
Welcome to Chinook Arch Bengals!
I became a Bengal Cat enthusiast when I brought my first Bengal home in 2000. I loved everything about her and was impressed with her unique Bengal traits and characteristics such as her pelt-like glittery coat, and love of water. My next Bengal came along in 2006 and he won-over the hearts of many dedicated "I'm not a cat-person" people with his extremely outgoing personality.
For many years I knew that I wanted to become a Bengal cat breeder, and when my husband and I moved to our property in 2018 I was finally ready. I imported my first breeding pair of Bengals from Favoritbengals in the Ukraine.
The cattery is in our home. This means that my breeding cats are first and foremost our pets, and are loved members of our family. In addition to the daily love, handling, and attention, this also gives us the opportunity to expose kittens to the normal sounds of a busy house so that kittens are not fearful when they transition to their new forever homes.
My cattery goal is to raise healthy, well-adjusted pedigreed kittens with stunning patterns to place as pets in loving homes. I attend and show at TICA cat shows to improve my knowledge of the Bengal Breed Standard and aim to continuously improve towards that standard.
Chinook Arch Bengals is a TICA registered cattery. The breeding cats are genetically health tested for PK-Def and PRA-b, screened for HCM, and are FeLV and FIV negative.
We are located near Cremona, a small town that is one hour northwest of Calgary, Alberta in the beautiful foothills of Mountain View County. We have a working cattle ranch and are also proudly raising a commercial herd of cattle. We manage our cattle on horseback with the traditional feeling of "The West", cattle drives and all!
